Going in. It took several times up and down to get the jack adjusted right, the TC fully seated, even had some brackets up top get in the way. First couple times I started snugging up the trans the TC clearance wasn't there.

Stock 2500HD trans lines will work perfectly here.

The 60E neutral safety switch bolts right up. The new speed sensor plugged up right behind it.

Just some shots from the rear. Its still leaned down so that I could get to the bolts and things.

I have been reading this thread(most of it), and its a awsome write up.

What was wrong with the trans that came out the truck? You said that you will be selling them, do you know how much you are going to asking for them?

Nothing wrong with the one I just pulled. KBRacing pointed out what might be a slight twist in the output shaft but it was working fine when I pulled it. The FLT LVL 5 beside it lost 3-4 gear.

No idea what I am going to ask for them yet.

You bet. It's an 03 65E in case I didn't mention it.

Ah, I get it.. Thanks for putting me to work. I needed it. I don't think there is any difference in clearance 80E to 60E along either side from the bell housing back. Just a tad bit wider in the bell housing area.

That will fit with no problem right? Is it built at all?

It's coming together Only issue I have so far is the trans line to the cooler up front. I can force it in and it will work... think I will just take the opportunity to upgrade the cooler and soft line them both with the new cooler.

I was really worried about the crossmember. It fits!

Buttoned up the TC. Don't know what I was thinking but you still have to roll around the engine and bolt it up just like the 60e. You also remove the plastic dust shields on the side of the engine used with the 60E. Not needed with the 80e cover.

Glad I trimmed the side trans and pan on the passenger side.

Yes will fit no problem. They are a little beefier in stock form. It has Transgo HD kit and vette second servo and sonnax superhold 4th servo in it.
