Default Drop shackles

Installed 2" drop shackles on my 92 GMC today, now it doesn't sit level, 5/8" out. Drove the truck thinking that they needed to seat in ( both were tightened up with weight on the truck ), no luck. Both were installed in the same hole on each side. Used Bell Tech shackles, so they ought to ne good, confused!

What doesn't sit level about it? If one side is higher than the other then that's just the infamous chevy lean. Get used to it I hate to tell you. There are ways to accommodate the height difference though.

thats very common. you should adjust your drop shackles on the drivers side up one hole, or you can get a half inch block on the passenger side to lower it.

Your truck was probably always lower on the driver's side but now it's more apparent since the truck is lower. The issue you describe is more commonly known as "Chevy Lean". It's a "problem" that many full size GM trucks have, although less common on the '88-'98 trucks. The lean doesn't affect how your truck rides or handles.....it's all visual.

I was thinking of doing that but did not know if it was kosher
