a local shop here charges about 300 for a custom built one piece. I donno about 2 piece so it could be worth it to call around? other than that a junk yard is the best bet

2 piece is better, can handle more HP with less vibration.

You'll want to ask your local dealer. Probably have to buy it all together knowing GM.

But whoever said 1 piece is better didn't know your truck is extended cab. 2 short shafts vibrate less than 1 long piece. Less vibration means less likely hood of breaking.

is it the U-joint at diff??? if it is you probably have a pinion angle problem... my truck is lowered and when i would launch the pinion angle would go up and eventually destroyed my u joint and ruined my back shaft...

i got a new back shaft custom made with all new spicer U-joints for 300 bucks... if you find a back shaft at a junk yard get the front shaft too... they are balanced together so you shouldnt mix match them....

i would probably look into some caltracs if its a pinion angle issue.....
