I just did mine this morning after waiting 6 months to install it. I used a 2x4, a wheel bearing socket, and my hands. It only took about 45 minutes, but reinstalling the c-clip for the cover took almost half that time. It shifts a WHOLE lot better now. Thanks to all for the tips, and Rhino for the tech

Even with 35's, I thought I ripped the tranny out when it shifted into 3rd. I was very, very surprised

put the kit in this afternoon and seemed easy enough till the test drive at part throttle 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are slipping. under hard acceleration it shifts firm and quick. not sure whats goin on with it so it will be on the rack in the morning so we can take a second shot. any suggestions on what to look for all seals looked fine when it was getting slid in would the outer piece closest to the cover do this if it was on incorrectly?

This seems like a good and easy mod to do.. I have my tranny rebuilt about a year ago,and Every now and then..If I let off the gas,and it rolls a foot or 2 and then I stop..Then I go to take off, (not a hard take off) The tranny seems like it slips, then catch's...You think this might fix it?

scratch that last post tore it down again and found one of the cut seals had a chunk missing, so i replaced all the seals and reinstalled it with alot better luck this time around. trans has good solid shifts now i am impressed. kit works great if you take your time and put it in slow and follow the instructions. we rushed and messed things up the first time, slow and steady wins the race (in certain situations) haha. great write up btw!!!

Transgel is a grease that will disolve in trans fluid and is good to lube orings and seals with. Good to hear u got it going!

I know this is a year late, but I was wandering if it would hurt my 150,000 miles transmission or help me get to 200,000. The truck has every bolt on you could possibly do and the transmission performs great as is. Just wandering if the day is going to come where it craps out on me.
