Oregon Performance NTP-K51828C .. Ordered mine from there... Not sure if OReillys can cross ref that .. Just got mine installed but i must have made the split seal move or something cause its winding out in first and slipping right out of second into third .. I just didnt have time before i had to come to work tonight to pull it back out .. I have OBX headers w/y-pipe and resonators and i didnt have any issues removing .. Just me messing something up that i overlooked im not sure .. Will update tomrrow as soon as i pull it bak out

Cool

Got it straight...pulled servo back out and yes i popped the oring on it stretching it out to remove it in the lil slot ..but anyways i found i broke the seal with the cut in it and didnt know it i guess when it was pushed all the way in before.. the spring was fine as well as it is now after reinstalled..but i had to go look for an oring but no one carries them that big...oreillys autozone blah blah blah they all say go to NAPA ummmm yea ok NAPA not open on Sunday so i sit down n think about when i get home and hey im thinking .. theres the old servo with the reddish looking oring soooo i take it out and put it on corvette servo in place of the blue one seems fine.. ive run over 50 miles on it and works fine and no leaks... i dont see any differnce in the red oring or the blue one ... i rubbed them both with a rag and the red or blue dye or paint coating whatever it is just rubs offf.. not sure what is its purpose but im back rolling.. i'll see soon enuff i guess if that oring fails for some reason but its fine as of now...
Servo shifts much better than that stock one did..

Thanks guys for all these write ups and stickys .. ya'll da' bomb

Thank you so much for this sticky. I put the servo kit in my 08 over the weekend and I love the way it shifts now! I proudly mentioned this to one of the techs here at my shop and he said the TCM would eventually relearn and start to shift like it did orginally. Any truth to that?

The tech is mistaken. Doing the servo swap mod is a mechanical modification, which is not controlled by the TCM, or PCM, so it is impossible to relearn around it.

I did mine a year ago and it shifts as it always has since I did this mod.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you.

No problem. You gotta love a 4 wheel drive pickup truck that can bark 2nd gear...

Great write up, did this install in about an hour. I do have a question though; it firmed up the shifts and everything works fine, until WOT, then it holds the gear until it redlines. Then shifts. Any ideas on what's going on?
