I haven't installed anything yet. I'm still parts collecting. What trucks came with rack and pinion? Why would it make any difference? So long as the hydroboost unit is supplied with hydraulic fluid by the power steering pump it should be fine.
EDIT:
From what I've read, if you use hydroboost supply lines from a 2005 express van you'll be golden. Hope this helps.

I can't personally confirm that it will work, but I can make an educated guess. I assume that it is correct because the Express Van is probably one of the vehicles that came with hydroboost that was 2wd. Any vehicle that had hydroboost plus rack and pinion should work. I know, Captain obvious. LOL.

With a rack and pinion you just have to reshape the line.

IM ALSO looking into doing an 2005 2wd Silverado 14 upgrade to me 2001 2wd Silverado and maybe Cadillac or denali rear brakes on my rear. Now do I have to run the hydro boost with this or can I not do that and have abs still work? Help??1
