Default Another 60e eats it

Well, this past saturday it happened.....again. 2nd time. Got on it from a stop shifted to second and then BAM! No forward gears and no reverse

I'm talking to a shop about doing the 80e swap since the procharger will be going on soon so might as well right?

Truck is in the garage parked and will probably stay there for a couple of weeks until I decide what to do.

What did you break last time? Pump or a shaft if I had to guess.

If you broke an input shaft again this time around I would be looking to make sure that your TCC is not applied while the trans shifts.

I broke the input drum where the input shaft splines into the drum...split apart...This was in my 451 rwhp Camaro... I'm hoping that installing the sleeve kit from sonnax and the billet forward piston will fix my issue in my Camaro... Is that what broke in your last failure? or was it the shaft itself?

Brad the reinforcement sleeve is a great upgrade and I use on many of my builds. In your case the drum might have just broke because it was weak from use, transmission shifting to hard, or TCC applied during a shift. It sounds like the parts you bought are going to help!

no need to let it set....sounds like you have already made the choice...i really think you should do a 6L80E BUT A 4L80 will do...
