Default torque converter question

well just called Precision Industries and it looks like a re-stall is going to cost me $250 plus shipping.....hmmm....not sure what to do now,

options:

1. send converter out to get restalled from 2800 to 2500 rpm
2. sell PI converter, buy new converter
3. buy stock HD converter and use it

goal is to get the truck moving with less pedal

4.10's.....I guess the other question I have is would a stock 2500rpm stalled converter drive any different than a PI Vig 2500rpm stalled converter??

Might feel a little tighter, but I wouldn't expect it to be a major difference.

Right. Assuming you have the multi clutch version. You can firm up the stocker in tuning if you want, just don't try it at full throttle.

I have the triple disc Vig, can I firm that up with tuning as well?

Set your min TCC duty cycle to 99% and max to 100% that's as firm as it's gonna lock.

Yep...I have the 3 disc vig as well, and the lockup is way harder than the shifts with the TCC min at 99%. I personally dont like that and put them down to 85 I think. In any case you want to keep that number high with aftermarket converters to keep the converter from slipping and putting excess heat in the clutches.
