My buddy who is a member on here lost a weight on his ds, and the other night he was doing 100 and got a vibration so he slowed down. When he got to about 95 it was murder she wrote. it blew the output shaft out of the tailshaft. The truck is a 99 RCSB 5.3, 4.10s, longtubes, nelson tune, 4/6drop.
here's some pictures, enjoy. another dead 4l60e

he's getting another 60e thats built from a local guy for extremely cheap. he has another stock one that he's trading for a built one and some cash(guy wants to get back to stock to sell truck), it held up in a ecsb with a charger. blew the engine before the tranny, i know thats not saying much, engine could have died for other reasons, but its supposed to be pretty tough. he's gettin a converter too, not too sure of the stall, i know its low but not exact on the numbers.

Yeah, that was mine. I now have a slick red film of undercoating added to the ENTIRE undercarriage of my ride also. I guess only good can come from this. Thanks Will, for posting the pics!

IT would be my guess that the ujoint came apart first and created this or the drive shaft vibration, Really big mess, I would not say its the 60e fault but still sorry to see the mess.
