Default 80e swap in 06 rcsb

What is every thing I need to do 80e swap its going 06 silverado with 5.3. I figure I would do the tranny first then engine mods.I know I need 80e ,t/c, dip stick, home for drive shaft, mod cross member an mount, convert harness , 6.0 flex plate n bolts, and tune. Did I mess anything?

Trans lines, fluid, and if it's 4wd, the conversion input shaft for the t-case. Shift kit? I have the same list going through my head This thread has the majority of what you need to know...

Once I had all the parts I did it all myself, and had to tear the transfer case completely apart(which you won't have to do). I had it mostly done in one day, with around 2 hours the next day buttoning everything up. I had a lift so that made it easier, but yours is 2wd so that will make it easier than mine.

The only way I can think of that you could make it not look stock is how you run the tranny cooler lines, and mod the crossmember. Everything else is either inside the tranny, or above it against the floor of the truck.

On the cost, it kind of depends on how much you want to spend. FLT/Performabuilt, or junkyard tranny. Stock converter, or Circle-d/Yank. I would say on the cheap you could do it easily less than $1000 if you do all your own work, can weld, re-wire the harness, and know someone to help make parts a little cheaper.
