will it work?
do you just adjust the cable?
because last night, I was hooking it up and if the cable is mounted in the bracket, the eye on the end is about an inch past the arm...
thanks!

I used my 60 cable when swaping to the 80 with no problems. Are you sure you put the little bracket that attaches to the gear select shaft on the trans on in the correct orientation?

I just read where you were having adjustment issues when you did your swap...
mine is extended out past the arm...I believe you stated that yours was short of reaching the arm...
the arm and shaft both have flat spots, so you could only have it 180º out...which would put it up top and require pushing thru P-R-N-1-2-3 instead of pulling thru the gears...
so it should be in the correct position I think...

My fubared cable was doing the exact opposite of what you describe. I would change every gear but would not go back in park.
I think an adjustment would work for you. If you need the procedure let me know and I can pull it off alldata for you. I presume you have the two piece cable?
