ok if your braided line is hard connected at the master that is where the restriction is going to be. if you take a 1/8" drill bit (if im remebering correctly) and stick it up the hole you should hit the restriction about 1/2" in. then there is another about 1" in. after that youll get into the rubber line and could possibly destroy the line.

I dont know if thats a quick coupler like you guys are talking about(maybe use a special tool to release it) but I just knocked out the roll pin to switch it...actually come to think of it I cant really remember its been soo long
you can use the roll pin there, but if you just slide that white plastic ring back into that fitting, you can disconnect the line without introducing air into the system - therefore meaning you don't have to bleed it.

on the older style, only the bottom half of the line is braided. the end that connects to the m/c is plastic & the connector fitting is a 90* elbow, so there ain't no way to drill there. i wish i had a picture to show you...

i'm actually starting to think our lines either don't have a restriction or it's impossible to drill it out due to it being in the middle of the line where the plastic line is molded to the braided

Anybody ever just replace the fittings with the earl pieces and run a straight -4? I'm going to be doing this soon to a friends truck.
