Default 4l60e stuck torque converter on input shaft

Possibly buying a used transmission to rebuild for my own truck. Problem is the one I'm looking at the torque converter is stuck on input shaft. Seller says hes tried prying and cant get off. Thinks when he went to put it in truck he went to far forward and got it jammed into pump. My question is what to do to get it off if I do decide to purchase the used transmission and also besides converter possibly being trash is the pump now as well. Thanks

leave it on, buy the trans on a discount, and drop the whole mess off at the trans shop.

I would pass on this unit unless it is practically free. If the convertor is stuck, something is definitely damaged. no way to know exactly what until you get it apart.
If the torque convertor was forced on, the pump is likely damaged.

That's the thing I'd get it for next to nothing, $100 practically core cost. I need it to rebuild for my own truck so I can build it as I go and not have my only vehicle down for a few days to weeks. So just trying to see what it is that's cause it to be stuck they never had it running went to install it and it got jammed so they say. Just wanting to see what ideas people may have for getting it off.

Take a piece of flat or angle then drill to mount on two of the converters threaded bosses. Then using a slide hammer with a hook or plate... hammer the converter back off .

The converter is likely broken where the neck engages the pump. If that is the case, the pump is trashed too. Had this happen with an aftermarket converter and 4L60.
