4L60E monster in a box??
I have been looking at this kit from monster transmission
4L60E SS Mega Monster Transmission Complete Rebuild Kit: 2003-06
It is a little over kill ATM but I am planning ahead. Has anyone on her used this kit before? Can you see anything it is missing that I would not want to over look. I have emailed them twice about getting an aluminum pan rather then chrome. Still waiting on reply.
Lastly are there any other companies out there with kits like this you could suggest?

I'd call Dana at Pro-Built Automatics if your looking for a rebuilt kit. Just let him know what your plans are an he can tell you which to get. Which ever kit you think you will need, get the nxt kit above that

First off, the company sucks.
Second off, their kits suck.
Third off, you'll only hear back from them if you're buying something right then; to hell with you if you have a warranty concern.
Try this company instead:

I built the **** out of my 60e and its no better than a paper weight. Do the 80e swap and don't look back. Besides by the time you build the 60e it shouldn't be much for to do the 80e swap, just a little more work. Hell for what ill have in mine by the time it's all said and done i probably could of done the 6l80 swap for not much more if any

Thanks for the input guys. Suburazine I will check out that link. I will also shoot Dana at pro-built a call.
As far as the 80e swap, I have thought about it. I have read that some ppl have done it and had problems. This is my DD and it would drive me nuts if it wasnt just right. I am looking for the best problem free way to do it.

why don't you look on ebay for a kit. There are some good rebuild kits available there. PATC is not the cheapest by any means.
I used to buy from a local vendor but when the prices started going up I started shopping around and often found I could parts on Ebay shipped to my door cheaper than I could get them through a shop with a resale Lic.
