I like to use the welding Idea too, Only issue is the engine is open and exposed. The welding slag from the arc will bead up and run down into the engine.

If you have to do it, wrap everything including the valve stem with a clean leather welding blanket. The use a nut and weld through the center of it...

I do the same for exhaust bolts. It's the best way to extract them.

Good luck!
Does this way work with flux core welders?

It might work. I have never used a flux set up before.

Bank 2 done!!! Remind me next time to just pull the damn heads.... You better believe the 6.0 im building for the yukon will have the springs swapped on the bench before they go on the engine!!!! Hell if i was smart this would have been a swap springs onto the ither heads and swap heads..... Probably would have been quicker and less taxing mentally!!!

lookup Proform 67605 for LS heads still on vehicle.

It's the same one comp, crane, and every other one like it sells.

It's not cheap but lets you do 2 at a time...
