Default 40K Tru-Cool TFT data

Hey guys, we all know that the 40K Tru-cool works. So this post is kind of redundant I guess. But I was just looking thru a bunch of my log files and figured I'd post up just exactly how much it lowered my TFT's.

With the stock (baby) aux transmission cooler, my TFT's were typically 149* at the starting line, and 151* at the finish line. Not too bad, certainly more efficient that I expected, and not high enough to cause damage.

After replacing the stock aux cooler with the 40k, my TFT's are typically 135* at the starting line, and 138* at the finish line.

Here is another example of the 40,000 Tru-Cool. Hauling a 7700lb trailer with a 6000lb SUV with GM cooler, my trans temps ran 205 to 215 when cruising down the Xway at 70mph. After the Tru-Cool install the trans temps dropped to 155-165 deg.

If you have the small trans cooler from GM just replace the cooler with the Tru-Cool 40,000. Do a search, for DIY all the info is there, for those in a hurry, on of our forum members has an excellent install kit with everything you need. Bypass is not needed then for northern climates for winter.

No they do not, you have to turn one of the lines 180 deg (cut the line and add a splice/rotate the line. The other line you have to get out of the brace and move it over to the other fitting. If you buy the kits, they are included as well as the fixtures to mount the cooler in the stock location and a place for the outside air temp gauge.
