Default 2-4 drop! Tire size's...?

Alright well i have spindles to go up front of my 03 Gmc extended cab and Beltech Drop leafs for the rear and im debating wether to go with a 305/40/22 in a khumo, or a 265/40/22 in a nitto 555?

Im partial to the khumo's because i had them on my old truck with low pros and they were very long lasting it seemed like. But my new one im not sure if the 305's will clear in the front and rear without rubbing to hell, im running a 9.5 inch wheel and im not sure how it would work...plus the nittos are 300 dollars more so i would like to spend less and get the tires i really want but dont know if they will fit. Any Help or suggestions will be appreciated!

Can you give us the offset specs (or backspacing...we can use the width to determine the offset) for the wheels?

I'd strongly recommend going with the 305/40's. Even if you do encounter rub, my guess is it'll be at low speed/full lock, and maybe only in reverse. 265/40's will look REALLY small against a 2/4 drop. Good luck!

I have a 2/4 drop on 22x9s right now. The wheels have +32 mm offset and 6.25 backspacing. I work at a tire store, so I ordered both a set of 265/40/22s and of 285/40/22s. The 265s looked tiny. The 285s fit perfectly. Just enough meat on them as well. The tires tuck perfectly, except on the back there is about 1mm of space in between the fender and the tire on the driver side, and the passenger side just barely rubs for some reason. You can see a color change in the tire from rubbing, but no rubber taken away or wearing off. Nothing that rolling my fenders won't fix.

Hope this helps.

The 305s will be too big IMO. Id do 285/40s like mentioned above. The 265s are good for a 4/6 but too small for a 2/4.

I would not go with 305/40's. I am pretty sure they will rub considering my 305/35's rubbed. My rim is 9.5" wide with 6.25 of backspacing.

Here are Nitto 285/35/22's.
