Default gas 4l80e vs. diesel 4l80e

What is the differance between a gas 4l80e and a diesel 4l80e?
I have a 80 Blazer I am going to put a 2000 lq4 6.0 in and i found a good deal on a 98 4l80e from a diesel truck and i am wondering if it will work properly with the computer for the 6.0.

Well, I found out the transmissions are the same, the difference is the torque converter. Yay for me, that saves me $300.
