The 3 pics below are from a 2006 1500HD. Everything looks the same except the calipers are twin pistons instead of single like the 10 bolt rears. Brackets and rotors are the same. The axles are 33spline because they use the the same part# for c-clips as the SS & VHO 14bolt. You can see in the pic they are not free floating but are 8 lug. The 6 lug axles should swap.

One thing everyone wanting to do this swap should be aware of is the parking cables are different lenghts for the short cab and the extended cab.

The caliper brackets are exclusive to this axle housing btw. Part numbers are:

18040098 and 18040099 -- $88 ea.

Are you saying your brackets would not fit using your disc calipers?

My caliper brackets won't fit the axle tubes according to GM. I didn't try them (selling the axle complete).

Turns out those are the part numbers for the caliper bracket (that holds the caliper) rather than the bracket that holds the caliper bracket lol.

News tomorrow.

I still needed the caliper brackets above, plus the shields that those brackets bolt to. Bad news is my calipers won't fit the new brackets

I guess I'm looking for some 3 piston after market calipers
