Default Walbro 255 or equivalent "kit"

Anyone have a reliable vendor for a genuine walbro 255 kit that comes with pump/sock/accordion hose/etc?

Specific, I'm putting this in a 2000 sierra factory bucket, I understand I will need to mod some things, but I'm more or less just hoping to buy a genuine pump for one, and wondering if there is a kit available with one with some things I may be needing as well. If not a kit, I'd be happy with just locating a reliable vendor for the pump itself. Appreciate any help.

I bought mine for my 99 from Racetronix and it was a super easy swap. They had great customer service as well.

Called racetronix earlier, guy I talked to said they do not make one for these trucks... said the really only deal with cars and not trucks of that generation... Didn't sound like he really knew what he was talking about ..

Did you guys buy the entire 255 bucket assembly from them, or did you buy a pump kit to replace your pump ONLY inside your factory bucket?

I'm looking to replace the pump only, not the whole module, I know it takes some minor mods to do it, just don't know what kit everyone was buying. Walbro makes a bunch of 255 styles with different offsets where the pickup is located on the bottom of the pump. Just need a part number of the pump and hopefully a kit as well that has the bigger teflon wires and such to upgrade the wiring as well. If I have to I'll just get the entire module assembly but I've read a bunch of threads on here where people just dropped in a walbro into there factory bucket with a few mods, just need the part number!

It's been quite a number of years, but I am 99% positive that mine was an entire bucket replacement. They may not offer them any longer, but I would be surprised if they didn't have something that would work for you.

I did the same... that part number is actually a Walbro pump assembly. From what I've researched many experience fuel pickup issues with a low tank fuel level when installing just the pump in the OEM bucket. This was the main reason I went with with the drop in plus no messing around with clamps and wires.

Ahhh, I see, appreciate the responses. Contacted racetronix and apparently due to the china bug they are currently out of stock on those pumps. So may have to find alternative or continue with trying to stuff a 255 in my factory bucket.

I agree, I don't like the idea of modifying this bucket/hacking it up and then having issues with it at a low tank level. I'd rather just replace the entire module like above^^^ Unless there is an another module anyone knows of, or another drop in pump, looks like I may be kinda screwedscrewed.

Anyone know any other drop in options available?

I bought mine from Summit and their estimated shipping date is 10-27-20 so yeah you may have to wait or find another source. There is the DeatschWerks option but It's a 415lph and expensive.
