Well, after getting the pump out, the suction end is a little different than yours and the Walbro. This may still work, we'll see.

 

Don't cut the bed..... Unbolt the bed or drop the tank, either is easy enough. You should be able to get a walbro 255 to work just fine in your bucket. If you are getting a Walbro pump then get it somewhere repuable as there are cheap knock offs and having a fuel pump fail sucks.

 

Dont even bother with a 255, get a 400 at least.

 

Last 400 I seen on a Returnless setup ( ok regulator in tank) caused over pressure at idle as the regulator couldn't dump enough.

It does. I run ~64psi at idle and run ~58psi at WOT. Idle tuning is a bit tricky, but not hard.

 

I would be willing to bet you are not running much boost either. Turn up the boost and watch the fuel pressure drop.

 

Not yet, just 6psi. Im about to pulley down and see and have a return-style upgrade planned, if it comes to it.

At my current set up, it suffices.

 

I pushed mine a decent amount, but I was running twin 255's second was boost activated and allot of meth. If anyone needs pictures of 04' style bucket let me know, I have three apart on my workbench. I am building my return setup now.
