treadstone and ebay type china cores are bar and plate.

there is nothing wrong with those, they work great.

Garrett has a high density bar and plate. Precision uses those cores. They are nicer and cool better but you'll see the difference in price.

tube and fin are what PWR and most diesel aftermarket cores use. Most OEM cores are tube and fin.

I run a treadstone vertical on mine. Cheap and does the job. IAT's are higher than I would like though. I'm seeing 20+ degree temps which isn't great for a core that size and placement. I've run garrett high densities traditionally, but didn't go that route this time around because i wanted vertical. Most suppliers do not offer vertical cores. There is traditionally a lower pressure drop and more flow support on verticals, but they do not cool as well as a horizontal.

What overall size you looking for?
And for just the IC or a complete IC kit?

3" set up as large as I can fit is 800.00 on sale.
3" inlet/outlet core is 12/23 custom built unit.
Similar in look to our monster race core. But 3".
cores in our standard kits have a flow area of 33-36 inch area.
This one is 69" area of flow.

found another of your 6 year old posts lol. I’m going to mount my 4” IC behind my grill but need to keep a/c. Do you think you could’ve made this work with the condenser? I’m thinking Intercooler, condenser, trans cooler, rad. In that order

I'm going to run this cut all the way out so it blends in. Then I'll color-match the grille.

beatdown, are you running the stock 28” rad? What fans?

34x15x3 intercooler. Cut down, in/out modified, originally from a Detroit Diesel S60 powered German Setra bus! Bumper brackets were cut off frame and moved forward about half inch...which moves the bumper forward the same amount. Not very noticeable in my opinion, and the truck isn't mint... It's a 2002 Silverado 4x4 2500 non HD. The plumbing is run underneath, electric fans installed from a later model 1500. Factory condensor and trans cooler.

Wow old post

Our Intercoolers aow the ac to stay.
Depending on year model and depending how much you want to cut.
Measurement is the thickness of our Intercoolers.

Trucks
99-02chevy
99-05GMC
3” thick bolts in little to no trimming.
4” some to heavy trimming.
5”. Massive amount of trimming.

03-13 Chevy
06-13 GMC
3” plenty of room
4” plenty of room little to no trimming.
5” some trimming not bad.
6” some trimming and cutting needed on bumper.

Core design is not just the thickness and length of tubes.
How are the tubes designed how many tubes there area.

All of our intercooler mount to the A frame of the truck.
