What psi magnuson can my 4.8 5 speed hold 29,000 miles regecy, aftercooler yes/no?

Looking at the radix 112.
I have an 05 4.8 5 speed reg cab regency rst. what psi can it handel to be safe and somewhat daily driver.
Also which radix 112 is better the one with the aftercooler that needs a water pump to keep the cooler cool or one without that??? I dont want to chop into the truck that much since it is a really clean regency rst 29,000 miles.
I have gone to the 4.10 gear set, true track, ta cover, and 4 1/2 aluminum dynotech driveshaft.

I drive a 112 at 9psi w/meth injection daily. Depends a lot on the tune. Talk to the tuner and tell him your goals/expectations and he'll help you out.
I know you said you dont wanna chop it up too much but a cam and LT's made a big difference on my truck even while I was at the stock 5psi, actually dropped it down about a pound. I would recommend the LT's at a minimum with the radix.

I have coated pacesetters and love em. I would recommend keeping some cats on there, they get rid of that high pitch rasp that sometimes come with LT's and ORY depending on which muffler you have. I ended up putting a bullet in before my muffler to quiet it down again but that required cutting up a little more of the exhaust. If I was gonna do it over again I would have just gotten a catted Y and been done.

I'm not familiar with a radix kit that uses another water pump to cool it, but I can tell you that the cooler you can keep the blower/IAT's the better. Those blowers are heat pumps. I would go with the largest heat exchanger you can buy if your planning on putting a kit together or buying used. You can also spray meth like stated earlier to help with the heat. Those 4.8's are pretty stout down low, with a good tune you should be able to DD 10psi no problem.

First, don't listen to anyone who has not had first hand experience with a maggie. Second, I have an intercooled maggie, and now a turbo setup. If you want a radix, get the intercooled one, run that 4.8 up to 7-9psi, have a tuner who knows forced induction tune it, and have a blast. Traction is going to be hard to come by with 2wd and the first gear of that 5 spd. If you feel you need more power and get some traction figured out, then add a good blower cam and some long tube headers, maybe some methanol and 10-11psi and see how you like that. There are alot of magnuson haters around here, 90% of them have never owned, nor had personal experience with setting one up. I ran a 12.87 with 6psi in my 5700lb truck, I had it up to 8psi with a little meth, but never went to the track like that. People like to just repeat what they have heard without knowing if its truth or tail. I have had both, and have absolutely nothing bad to say about magnuson blowers. Mine just ended up being to small for my motor/goals.

well said , the water pump is to circulate the coolent threw the heatexchanger in the supercharger and then to the other heatexchanger in the grill thus coolin the supercharger. as far as boost goes i would say 7-8 lbs would be good for a stock motor not really pushing it , i love my 112's but i dont think there goin to work for my 408 .oooh and about the pump the replacement one is the bosch , i have the mezier pump which is bad ***
