Took my truck to the dyno today at Texas Speed. It made 387/358??? Anybody heard of a turbo truck making numbers this low? I was expecting a full 100 more hp/tq!! specs are as follows.

fully forged ls1
mp70 trick front mount turbo kit@ 6psi
comp cams 221/228 581/588
stock 243 heads
42# injectors and a walbro 340 intank
4:10 gears and 20" stockers



Truck feels strong but the numbers dont reflect it. My question is what do you guys think about these numbers?

 

More info. Is it intercooled? What kind of dyno?

 

What's the LSA of the cam?

 

Do you know what it made before the turbo was installed, and who tuned it?

 

it was a dynojet and yes is has an air to air intercooler..

 

I dont know what it made before the turbo was installed.. did the whole thing at the same time. Its a 114 lsa cam shaft

 

That seems low to me too. Did you ask the guy that tuned it? He would have the best idea why it was low.

 

Jason at Texas Speed acted like these numbers were perfectly normal. He is also the one who tuned it. The tune seems fine; a/f ratio is good.

 

hmm does seem low being there are cam only ls1's making over 400
