We had an engine fire off with 42lbs injectors swap.
It idled but very badly. Then realized wrong tune.

 

Me to! Wish i new how long it takes to get the base tune. Forgot to ask before purchasing. Sent an email yesterday asking how long it would be before receiving base tune but no reply yet. Hopefully only a couple days and weeks.

 

LOL. I started the truck it idled ok but seems to be alot of noise i dont remember the other engine making. Will track down another truck like mine and listen to it idling.

What are your thoughts on breaking in the new engine with your kit installed?

 

How many untuned trucks with new motors and 80lb injectors you got runnin around those parts?

 

Break in process the same on new engine and turbo's engines.
Get some miles on it staying out of heavy throttle/boost until all things are broke in and checked out.

 

Still waiting on a base tune from BBP. A little nervous that they never asked any questions about my setup but maybe that comes later. They said today at the latest i should have my first tune. Hopefully I will be driving it tomorrow.

I'm bolting an S475 to my truck in the next few weeks and have been thinking about having Justin at Black Bear tune it. I'm very interested in seeing how your tune ends up working out.
