Any chance you can run better fuel like E85? I made the decision right from the get-go that I wasn't going to f*ck with pump gas, and I didn't want to bother with meth for a DD. I am running a fat/low timing tune with E85 to give myself a serious cushion since it's my daily.

Check your power steering pump brace where it bolts to the block, or your a/c compressor bracket behind the compressor itself.
Power steering pump brace took care of the larger bolt. Thanks.

My transmission is the stock 6 speed. I do have E85 available but it is expensive here and limited. I would not be able to make a trip across the state I don't think and I cant trust my wife to put it in when she drives the truck but it is something to consider. I think meth would be easier for me.

What do you think about starting the truck and letting it idle up to temp. So I can check fluids and so on. Still waiting on black bear for base tune before driving the truck but figure just idling cant do any damage. Want to check with you guys first to make sure.

It will be fine unless you've changed injectors. Even driving it out of boost is fine.

I do have the 80# injectors in it. My big concern is it still has the tune from O2 dynamics that melted the piston. It did seem to idle ok when he gave it back to me the first time. So I figure it would be ok at idle but I wont risk driving it. Hopefully BBP turn around time is quick I never asked how long it would take to receive the base tune before I ordered.

Yea idle is fine. Pretty much the only way to hurt an engine at idle is if it doesnt have oil in it.

Or wash the cylinders with too much fuel?

If it was rich enough to do that, it most likely wouldnt even idle. Washed cylinders usually comes from multiple failed starts.

Anxious to see how that bb tune does.
