For the record: the next FI setup I do will be a Procharger. Probably in the high 3xx ci range with an F1. Nothing real crazy. Some sort of reliability will still have to be there, no matter what I build.

What on earth makes you think a stock 5.3 will take that abuse? lol

See how much the crank flexes before it wipes the mains or breaks.

They have no truck love, it started with their side mount that they were supposedly building a air to water setup for that never transpired. I think they primarily care about the ford guys.

Agreed. Other than a Vette blower last I checked they just don't like us Chevy guys. But I figured if a Whipple was good enough for GM COPO program it should be more than enough for me. Only complaint is throttle is ultra touchy. Think its bc of stock cam I guess.

My plans are to do a forged lt1 in it and an F series blower! Would be a lot of fun. Kinda regret not just doing an f1a from the beginning lol. These 5.3's are breaking at low 700's rwhp so I dont want to push the stock engine that much but we'll see lol

What is the weak point? Rods or pistons? So the stock trans and stock engine is most durable at low 600whp? Great info here!

One truck I heard of made 720rwhp with nitrous and hurt a piston a week later, 2nd truck made 734rwhp with a d1sc and hurt the crank shortly after. My meth kit goes on June 9th and I decided to pulley it down and see how it does/how the trans holds up. It should do over 700rwhp so we'll see how it does, (I will not be nice on it either lol) We talked to circle d and they said we could do the trans for $6300 built to the gills that'll be warrantied so I'm doing that as well this summer lol. Gonna start piecing together the engine soon as well, simple forged lt1 and an f series blower is the plan, that'll probably be dec-jan sometime!
