Default questions on Radix

okay, I am looking to get a radix in the future. I was considering a STS, but just yesterday I had to back my truck so far down the bumper was under water and the muffler was half in the water just to put my boat in the water, thanks to the dropping lakes here in FL. so my only other option is a Radix which I have always liked anyway. I want to know if the radix on a stock 5.3 with stock boost is load depended like the STS. meaning while im towing with the cruise on, if the trucks comes out of OD looking for a little more power, the Radix will start coming into boost a little bit before the truck will decide it wants to drop down to 2nd at 70mph. I hate when it does that. In other words, the boost will begin to come on sooner with the load compared to no load correct?

I have never towed but I'd say a lot of that depends on the tune as well. I can go up some pretty long/steep inclines without downshifting at all.

You can go to the GM dealership and Get a Radix installed with a Full Factory GM warranty... I understand what your asking... but Your not going to have to make the truck Kick down to see boost ... I have done the Blower then turbos... Daily driver killer power and drive it anywhere Radix is without a Doubt the awnser... with alot of new models able to build 600+ HP ...

good, thats what I wanted to know. the truck does not have to kick down. one last question... when just cruising on the roads, and not in boost. do you still get the same mileage you had before the blower??

Have you thought about the Trick Front Mount? I tow with mine and works great! don't need to worry about sucking in water either.

IF you can behave yourself, then yes, the mileage is essentially the same, some even get better. HOWEVER if you're like most of us, you'll end up doing a lot of and mileage will decrease accordingly.
