maggie pulley
#1
OK, I am looking for some help with my s/c pulley.
I installed a new maggie 122 about 2 months ago and was getting belt squeel between 2k-3k rpm range, and I noticed that the s/c pulley sits back (towards the truck cab). I jut pulled the pulley off and tried to flip it to see if that would work, however, that made the misalignment even worse. So now I am thinking this s/c came with a spacer (it seems at least).
SO my question is: The s/c pulley is keyed and to put a washer behind the pulley would it be resting on the plate where the bolt goes it the s/c neck?? I am just afraid to tear the bolt, plate, pulley if I dont use the right part.
Thanks for help in advance..

You will need a spacer that only touches the inner race on the bearing and fits the shaft diameter. Alternator repair shops have spacers in different thicknesses that work real nice.
You will remove the retaining nut, pulley and then the key, put the spacer on. Then reassemble in reverse order.
