Default Video...

Sorry it took me some time to get this up...none of the video sites will host the .MTS format of my HD camcorder! Had to buy $100 software to convert and upload to Youtube...

VIDEO

By the way, anyone know how to "embed" videos into the post?

well went to the track yesterday 12.77@104.61 with a 1.72 60 foot time. the 275 40 17 work so good. im still on stock tune, and i still have torque managment in the trans. only mod was the yank 3600 from my 13.3 run and lost almost 6/10s and was like 20 mph head wind and das in the +1200 to +1500 range.

we will be doing a 75 shot next week on it should run high 11s.

Always windy out there...some times worse than other times. Over 1/2 sec improvement, you have to be pleased with that !

That vid was my 2nd run, and I was still unsure of how much pedal I could give it...you can hear me pushing the pedal down harder a couple times as I was surprised that it was gripping. My first run I didn't burn them long enough and I was still spinning each time I stabbed it all the way out to maybe 300'?

As for the "rake", I currently have 2" drop Eibachs on the rear and cranked the torsion bars down in the front. I just bought a pair of 3" drop Eibachs & the GM lowering keys and will throw those in with a new set of torsion bars and upper control arms/ball joints soon...the front end is getting a bit soft AND loose.

The truck is currently at Synergy having the ASP 8" 8-rib pulley conversion installed. The previous setup was the oem crank pulley with a 2.85" SC drive pulley...I'm going to use a 3.0" SC drive pulley with the 8-rib setup. Using this calculator, it should give a blower rotor increase of 1300 rpm @ 6000.

I should have waited to compare 'apples-to-apples' but I decided to have the blower cam installed at the same time...tired of the snail pace of getting things done and seeing the results. So, it won't really be able to tell which provided what percentage of the increase...the pulleys or the cam.

What blower cam did you decide to go with? Hope it exceeds your expectations!

I went with a Speed Inc SC-1 (222/228, .566/.571, 114). I don't know how much to hope to get, but I would like to see something more than a lope. Altho it should be pretty mild with the 383ci...the GT2-3 just doesn't scratch that itch.

The big concern now is the tranny...Rick was not thrilled with making more power on what he believes is likely a hurt transmission.
