I have difficulty believing that the Corsa is creating much, if any, back pressure issues, being that it has 3" mandrel bent pipe with a straight-thru "resonator" design. Yeah, it has "Reflective Sound Cancellation technology" which is probably some kind of snake oil but it does seem to work well at keeping the noise levels down.

I sent Corsa tech support an email last week asking if they had the flow calcs for the muffler, but have not heard back. I have been thinking about getting the Dynatech LTs with the ORY and seeing what difference that makes over the JBA shorties/Magnaflow hi-flow catted y-pipe. At worst, can add a true dual to that later, if deemed worthwhile.
Any thoughts?

I would go with a 6.0 set-up if possible due to the fact it has two head pipes. Colby if you choose to do that I can hook you up with a corsa 6.0 cat-back mid pipe to plum the dual header pipes to one muffler. that will get you closer to the true dual without breaking the bank all at once. I just purchased the new ARH 1 7/8 lt's with true flow 3" cats and head pipes.

Not sure what I will do with the exhaust in the end. If money were no object I'd love to get a system, tailor made specifically for my setup, by THIS GUY. But two things are currently holding me back: 1) Unless I rebuild around a custom exhaust my system is not optimized enough to build the exhaust around it, and 2) my money tree has been hit by an economic hurricane (which is the real show stopper at this point).
SDPC is currently running a good deal on Dynatech LTs/y-pipes. I'm strongly leaning toward doing those with an off-road y-pipe connected to the existing Corsa Touring catback for now. Then after I get the 8" pulley setup and cam changed I'll give more consideration to the exhaust if I'm still not seeing decent results.
old motorhead had an interesting point about the lack of back pressure, and lack of change in his back pressure after changing to a freer flowing setup. I may not be experiencing a flow issue at all. However, I do know that with my bikes a "tuned" exhaust did make better power, along with a better curve, even though they both flowed sufficiently...food for thought.

No trip to the track yet...scheduling conflicts. Wednesdays are my only opportunity to go, and it is also the only day the wife & I have off together, so a lot of stuff gets scheduled for Wednesdays! Maybe in a couple of weeks...

Calmly explain to the wife that you have a few things that really need to get done. I'm sure she will understand. I have my wife trained for situations just like this. uhh...well...hope she doesn't read this.......

If that were only the issue! You know how family obligations are...with only 4 days a month available for attending to birthdays, visits, etc. Makes it tough.Might make it to Sacramento this coming Wednesday...if the planets align properly!

Was set to go to Infineon last Wednesday. Got in it to go to Kragen for a set of TR6 plugs, since the ones that were in it were from when the engine was built--battery was dead again, for the 4th time and final time. So I charged it up and bought plugs and a new yellow top.
Figured I was set to go...but when I was installing the plugs I noticed that my serpentine belt was coming apart and missing a rib all the way around. No belt dust anywhere but the "fiber shreds" are stuck all over the hood insulation. So, back to Kragen for a belt, but not in stock so off to another store one town over--new belt installed and ready to roll!
I'm heading to the track on the highway and the truck suddenly downshifts to 3rd and the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light comes on. I mess with the shift lever but no OD. I pull over put it in park, shut it down and restart. Put it in DRIVE and accelerate...it's in 3rd gear? I manually downshift to 1st and away I go...I have to manually shift 1-2-3 gears and have no OD. Turn around and head home. Hit up Rick at Synergy he says "Clear the Check Engine light and see if that fixes it." Sure enough, trans is shifting normal but the SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light is still on.
And that's racing...
My laptop is at Synergy with my GTO, and no hand-held code reader at home so I have no idea whats up. But I needed to take it back to Rick for some adjustment of the shift points anyway so he can check the code and figure out what is going on then.
