I think colby might need some new exhaust scrap the y pipe and run 3 inch duals let the motor breath mabye it will be in the 600/600 range
Suppose that LTs & true duals will raise HP and flatten the torque curve, without sacrificing any peak torque?

http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/e...rackday023.flvhttp://i232.photobucket.com/albums/e...12-08_1316.jpg Colby that is my run of 12.47 and there is a pic of my exhaust I picked up 30 hp and 40 tq with the long tubes and duals but lost about 1-2 pounds of boost I have not dynoed my truck with that new motor but i dynoed it twice once with y pipe and once with true duals and those are my numbers. I will soon dyno again once my home made inercooler is in the truck I have also put in a 4l80 since i ran a 12.4 so i might slow down a bit with that tranny so i put in an auburn pro series and 410 gears cause i run with street 20 inch ss rims and tires I would like to run once with a set of 17 inch to see what would happen i raised my shift points to 6500rpm. but i wont make it to the track for a couple months i live in canada and the tracks dont open for a least another 2 months.

Did you have short tube headers & y-pipe or oem manifolds & y-pipe? That is a terrific gain.

WOW. Now I'm clear on it. You gained 30/40 with LTs/true dual vs LTs/oem y-pipe...that is impressive! I have a Magnaflow hi-flow y-pipe & Corsa Touring 3" single catback, but I'd imagine the improvement to be substantial as well.

As much as I want to keep my Corsa, I'm quickly becoming convinced that a dual exhaust is needed (as opposed to "wanted"). I was already looking at replacing my JBA shorties with the LPP LTs & 3" ORY, but I am in discussion with Rick about LT/exhaust options and nothing is solid yet.

Absolutely. I'll post all changes & results as we make them. I appreciate reading the experiences of others and want to give back to the community!

I'll be at Infineon this Wednesday if the weather cooperates. It currently looks "iffy" but we'll see what the new week brings...

Default Rain, rain go away...

Called Infineon first thing this morning and they are not running today due to rain. Sacramento Raceway has a "rubber stamp" recording that says to call after 2pm for Wednesday Night racing status...I expect the same answer.

I thought my three chamber Flowmasters were clogging up my exhaust. I measured the back pressure at 4psi. Don't have a clue whether that is a bunch of back pressure or not. I have never gone to the trouble of checking another setup. Added cutouts, redynoed and picked up NO hp. I measured the back pressure between the header collectors and the mufflers (no cats).

You might want to keep your corsa and find you another one like it for your duals. I haven't heard a performance muffler, other than a corsa, that wasn't annoyingly loud behind LT's with no cats. I have magnaflows now and they're marginally better than the flows, but still too loud at cruise for my tastes.

No to discourage you from changing your exhasut and I know every truck is different but I Pulled down from a 3.4 to a 3.0 did OBX stainless longtubes and true dual 2.5 out the back along with a 90mm throttlebody upgrade and only gained 50hp and 75tq. Hard to believe 30hp and 40tq with just going from ypipe to true duals or I am doing something totally wrong. How big is the corsa system?
