I think you will make plenty of power with that setup, it has all the potential you need for that light of a truck. With good traction, I don't see you having too much trouble. Also, I have a tc76 on my lq4 with a 3000rpm converter with no hydroboost, no tbrake and I can get to my full boost pretty easily.

 

i think i may drive it around, maybe test it at the track in the early spring with the tc-78 but will definately be looking to upgrade the turbo sometime during the summer, to something like a pt88 or borg S380R... something with a much more efficient trubine wheel/housing.

we'll see if i can get 600rwhp outta the tc78 and lq4 before i upgrade......
