Default Garrett 88mm to small for 408?

Heres my current setup i have a LQ4 with a detroit speedwork's front mount turbo kit. im building a forged 408 out of a iron 6.0 block(lq4). My over all goal is to run 18-20psi at the track ones or twice. just to get my best time slip. My turbo specs are .81 A/R exhaust and .72 inlet A/R. it a 88mm garrett. what i am wondering will i be over working the turbo if i run 15psi all day long. this truck isnt my DD. i only drive it about 1500 miles a year. i just dont want to hurt the turbo.

Is it ball bearing or journal bearing? ... I have had 2 turbo CARS in the past and I prefered the smaller turbos for street use due to the quicker spool.By saying 15 psi all day long, are you really going to be wot that much..lol..google Garrets compressor maps and see what they say...

I run the 91mm garrett turbo and love it. It spools too easy and I can't imagine that a smaller turbo would be more fun. I DD at 10 lbs but it will easily do 20+ when I decide to push it.

an 88mm is plenty big for a 408 imo, i would rather have quick spool. just get you a bigger housing and you'll be fine.
