Default Cam suggestions

Ok, heres what ive got, lq9 out of an 04 cadillac escalade (not that that much matters)bored .030 over, with l92 heads 823 castings intake off same witha 90mm throttle body... I have comp cams xr275hr12 which the specs are in my sig for it... Originally was gonna use the heads that came on the engine, but such is my luck, (after i had compiled all of the rest of my parts)i find out theyre cracked!!! So i know the cam is way to small for my heads etc, what cam should i go with... Seems everyone i talk to recommends something like 232/236 .614/.624 113 or 114+2 or something similar.. I have no intentions in this truck of goin with any sort of boost, as much fun as it sounds my wallet disagrees... The truck currently has a 4l60e (fwiw mad dog level 2, i am in process of building a trans to replace it with) with a trailblazer torque converter, i have a set of soeed engineering 1 7/8 long tubes im waitung to get a set of cats and wrap to install, running 4.10s with a 35inch tire.... I want to be able to drive the truck as pretty much my dd again, as well as put it in the mud when the time comes, doubt she will ever see a track, might just to see what she does someday, but not a priority.. I plan on a circle d converter, stall will depend on cam selection.... I am curently at 338/345 rwhp and damn near same torque would like to see 400-450 ish with headers, cam and retune....sorry so long winded just wanted to try to get all the info in....

I can help you with more detailed specs tomorrow. It's not so much that your cam is too small as it is better for the cathedral heads you were going to run.

Thanks, i figured that, the 6.0 didnt make as big of a noticable differemce as i thought it would... Took me a while to get my head around my cam being part of the issue....

Are you going to stick with the TB stall? How high do you want to spin it? How do you want the power? Lots of topend pull or very torquey?

Tb stall was to fix the tight piece of converter i had..... So, open to and actually planning on 300-3200 stall when i get my trans built, dont plan on reving high persay, dont plan to race the truck, prefer more torquey considering the 120lb tire/wheel combo im running at moment.... Dont plan on necessarily running WOT all the time, however to have it there when i need or wnat it would be awesome

How do you want it to idle? Smooth and stockish or some lope to it.

220/228 114+3

With a 3000 it would have nice pop off the bottom. Frankly you may be able to get what you want out of a smaller cam, but the one I mentioned will still have plenty of torque down low.

If you wanted more down low I would likely go 218/226 113+2

By the way both came will chop in a similar way to what you have now, maybe a tad less. You likely wouldn't notice the difference.
