This weekend starts the fun. I will be getting going Saturday morning with the following:
Oil change/lube
fuel filter replacement
fuel injector replacement (43/b'ers)
cooler spark plug replacemet
cooler thermostat (180*) replacement
PCM replacement (for the whipple)
Any hints tips or tricks are welcome.
Finally found the fuel line disconnect tool, so i think I got everything i need.
That should keep me busy through the weekend, next weekend the blower goes on, then its back to the dyno for some updates.

Well today went pretty smooth. Got the new cooler plugs, injectors, fuel filter, and thermostat installed. Gapped he plugs at .035 as well. I would like to know what brain surgeon thought it would be a good idea to hook the power steering fluid fill neck to the thermostat neck bolt...
. I got it all installed and wiped down, removed the var-a-ram induction kit because the whipple comes with its own kit. Anyone know what that thing looks like by the way? I started it up out of curiosity to see if it would run with the larger injectors. Ran smooth as a babies butt. I should get the PCM on Monday, and the whipple should be in sometime this week. I was hoping it would come in this weekend but Chris at whipple said it was late getting out. Thats okay, i would rather take my time anyhow. I will keep you posted on how the install goes. Also, hooked up the F/P guage and at idle i was getting 50-52psi and when i hit the throttle (in park) it would jump to about 55-56.

Is there a reason why Whipple and Kenne Bell do not offer an intercooler for ANY of thier S/C'ers except the 8.1L setup? Even then, only Whipple has the I/C for the 8.1L and Kenne Bell does not. I want to get the I/C but there is not a chance in hell im gonna pay $2000 for the one Whipple has. I may go the route some others have and just try and Fab up my own. Are ther any min/max or size/volume requirements?

Well, the Whipple has arrived!! Feel like a kid in a candy store..
. Looking over this manual, I wont need 60% of it due to the deletion of the whipple electronics. I will try and get some photo's later and keep you all posted on the install progress. The Induction setup looks very nice and unrestricted. Man, i cant wait to get going on this tomorrow.
