I have researched this a lot and really want to do it, but I never live any where where I have access to it on a regular bases. You can run it with only change 1 table in the tune, but to maximize it you should do some tweaking to others. The fuel systems in these truck are capable of handling it.

It is harder to start in cold weather, but some tuning tweeks can help that.

Do you really think GM would use parts that fail with 85% ethanol when there going to build both systems and even the non-FF vehicles have to be able to run 10-15% ethanol? There are quite a few people that have done conversations with after market injector modifier boxes only and I haven't heard of any that have had fuel system component failure problems.

I really think there is some gains to be had especially being forced inducted with this fuel. This is something I REALLY want to do, just to do it!
I picked up 36HP, and 44LBS (flywheel) on a NA 650HP carburated BB chevy! At this altitude the 85 makes a big difference, and that is in cold weather. With FI, and a hot day the advantage of the E85 will be HUGE.

Your lines should be fine They don't put rubber lines on these things any more

e85 is a huge benifit if tuned right. i have a 92 eagle talon, upgraded turbo and other small stuff and with e85 your able to push more boost and throw more timing at it. also have an 01 seirra that will be turbo and e85 shortly. cold start is a problem below 30 degrees, just takes a little longer to start.

That is what Im thinking should handle 18-20LBS, with no KR and have a cooler IAT. Could be worth a almost a full second on a summer day, and not kill the engine.

Damn theres an e85 station 4 miles from my house, I could run a winter premium pcm and an e85 for the summer once I boost the denali. Would the e85 help significantly in a nitrous application or just better on forced induction applications due to the temp drop during atomization of the ethanol?

Should help with N20 also due to the higher octain. Just places more demand on the fuel system. Takes roughly 30% more Injector, fuel pump, and line size than gas. Might be the ticket with the Denali high CR.
