Default Critique my Trick 76mm turbo numbers and advise on how to make additional 100whp

How can I make another 100whp? The motor has the 05+ rods, ARP studs, LS9 gaskets, and runs on 100% E85. Current tune is 15 degrees timing, and afr's were holding steady at 11.4:1 with a single Walbro 450, Kenne Bell 20V Competition boost-a-pump, ID1000's, and custom -8/-6 PTFE return system.

I'm wondering if I shrouded the valves by milling the heads .030" or if the cam is too small or mismatched for the compression? Or maybe I'd see gains from a nnbs intake? Or is my Magnum 76mm turbo holding me back?

Relevant mods are:

stock 5.3l shortblock
milled 862's .030" (SCR 10.4:1)
Tick Stage 1 turbo cam, 215/219, 114+3
BTR springs
basic maintenance/durability items... Melling oil pump, LS2 timing chain, Trick Flow chain dampener, LS9 gaskets
Trick 76mm turbo w/ 3" downpipe

Here is my dyno graph:

How many lbs boost? I think you can run a bunch more timing with E85. Nice setup

Was boost constant? The power is there it just rolled over premature. Something is choking it up top and it's not the intake manifold. How big is the turbine?

How about 317's and more boost George? Unless turbo's already done?

Whoops, boost is at 15psi. But made same power at 13psi as it did at 15psi.

How about 317's and more boost George? Unless turbo's already done?
317's would drop my compression down a ton since I have dished 5.3 pistons...

The first time I went to the dyno we actually tapped into vacuum so we could log boost on the graph, but this time was a different dyno and we didn't do that. I'm looking at my logs from each pull but unfortunately it looks like after we actually figured out the boost controller problem, we didn't save the log files. It's the standard "Magnum" 76/75 from the Trick stage 2 kit. I doubt the turbo is the limiting factor.

Yeah I was just thinking you could run a lot more boost with the lower compression. Its been done but I think Vortec is right it is nosing over too early.

Ignore George's post to add more timing. I would keep it right where it's at.

Secondly, was the converter locked or unlocked? If it's unlocked and loose, you could be losing power there.

Thirdly, I'm not a fan of the china turbos, but they do be able to seem to make around 700. What size turbine wheel does it have?

Cam is not too big, mine was smaller in a 6.0 making 950, and obviously Jarrett has made more.

Only other thing I'll mention is that the dyno may not accurately reflect the power the truck makes on the street. Not uncommon for a turbo setup. Run it at the track and run it hard and often with a known raceweight. Best way to know if you are making the power you should.

The converter was locked in 3rd for all runs. Turbo is a MasterPower 76/75. I do agree with you that I need to run the truck before making any final conclusions. I had planned to get together with the tuner at the track on Sunday but I tweaked my damn back and didn't go. I want to head to the 1/8th mile this Thursday if everything works out.
