Yep, agree with all of the above.

It should take more timing, doesnt mean you want to run it there all the time, but if you are just after a glory pass why not.

What is your pressure drop across the intercooler? You can loose a lot of power there, especially if the turbo is near its limits.

How would I log that? Add a 2nd boost sensor at the compressor outlet and log as a new PID?

I've seen this turbo/ intercooler combo make 600whp on a 5.3/4.8 many times I think? I realize every combo is different though.

I am using a BR7EF at .028"

I could get some 243's but I'd want to re-cam the motor and at that point id probably do a 6.0 and use the 317's.

I wonder if I need to install the manual boost controller I have l for testing purposes and logging and head back to the dyno. The AFR cut feature on the Innovate is great and I can always hook it back up once I know the controller isn't holding me back. But then again I did make 15psi on 3 pulls back to back so it's also likely one of the mechanical components is maxed.

Easiest way is on the dyno, then you could just use a manual gauge and have a guy look at it.

Is your turbo overshooting the set boost at all? On the dyno, things tend to accelerate different. You want the turbo to basically be outrunning the engine while its accelerating, otherwise the turbo is too close to its surge line, this will typically look like a boost spike on the dyno whereas on the street its an easy ramp up.

That gap should be fine, but take it down to 0.025" just in case, and make sure your wires arent touching anything hot (as in not even insulation is touching).

You already said you didnt make any more power at 15psi than 13psi, was the timing the same on both? The reason I ask about the intercooler is maybe at 13psi you have a 3psi drop, but at 15psi there is a 7psi drop. In that case the turbo would be working at 16psi and 22psi respectively, and that higher boost takes a lot more power to turn the compressor.

wgst did air temps do going up on psi.?
Get hotter?
So many things can go either way from tune up,Dyno what day etc.

Did I read right in your build thread, your wheels are over 60lbs each?

I don't think the wheels are making a huge difference on the dyno unless you're comparing lightweight ones to 100+ lbs.

My 315s/Bogies were in the 55 lb range, stock 20s are 72 lbs with tires
