i was sick of dealing with the bracket flexing so i made a brace to do away with it pretty simple seems to work pretty good

How is the cylinder head end bracket attached? Is it just a bolt directly in the head with a spacer?

yup
damn and everything I read stated the early bracket was none for belt slip cause of the Alt and its adjusters but that isnt case with mine as i uses the Large Alt and those adjusters are locked tight cause of size

how bad is the flex

pretty bad i can stand in front of my truck and pull on the bracket and watch it move a good 1/4 inch or even more

i wish i did the House of boost DD setup but I'm pretty sure this brace should help out a ton

If you run the old style bracket, you need to reconfigure the pulleys like did.. The new bracket might be junk, or a poorer design.. I have never had a issue with flex on mine, its the old style..
