Default Boost gauge discreetly installed. (Post your custom pics if you want)

This has probably already been done, but here's my install. Took a lot of delicate cutting. I measured carefully and left enough room for another below it. Either that or I can cut a flat piece of black plastic to cover the wires. Would have been really trick if the whole outer ring was visible, but this will do for me. Anyone else with custom installs post pics.

Nice job!

I had considered putting mine in the overhead pocket but with them on the a-pillar I can see everything from the corner of my eye without having to look up or down.

Damn explorer5.0 That is a professional job!!

Trever1t I agree with the overhead pocket being too hard to see. I was going to use the pillar, but whatever brand pillar I got (bought it used) blocks too much of my vision, so I just stuck it there in the 4wd switch pocket. It's cool because it's right beside the gauge cluster.

i got rid of my a-pillar, it drove me bonkers. It actually surprised me at how much it blocked my vision. I have them in the upper console and lower as well now. I have digital, and have low and high settings so if they flash it grabs my attention. But for quick reference, I'll admit it takes some getting used to. But you do. I can glance quickly and see where I am at. AFR and Fuel is the most important to me, the rest are just decorations now.

It is Duplicolor spray on bedliner. I used it on all of the modified interior pieces on my truck. I built a carputer console for a friends '05 ecsb, and used the same stuff- looked awesome. If you find my thread in the "Show & Shine" section, you can see the other pieces I have done.

This stuff is only about $7 a can and I always keep some on hand for projects like this. I painted my home theatre PC case with it the other day and it came out great.
