Anybody know jack about turbo systems?

I've got an STS rear mount turbo kit on my silverado pushing about 9lbs. of boost. My only problem with it is that it isn't great off the line...Anyone have any clue how to build more boost faster? Would wrapping my intake tubing with exhaust wrap help that out? Any suggestions?

I see you have a 4.8L, what size turbo are you running? What size A/R? If you have a .81, and a stock converter, then switch to a .68 A/R. You can also add fuel while you're brake boosting. The extra unburnt fuel will help spool the turbine.

How do you add fuel while brake boosting?

If you have tuning software and you're running a SD tune, then you just fatten up the cells that you're in while brake boosting. It's worked pretty well for me while tooling around and practicing my launches. I haven't tried it at the track yet with slicks though.
