408ci/TVS2300/LSA heads build

I got tired of replacing them I did have a 65E from FLT that was holding strong but a broken driveshaft on the dyno at 140mph destroyed that one. With a 6000lb truck and making 500 lb/ft I don't see any 60E style trans holding up. At the 600+ I'm shooting for here, no way I'd run a 60E.

well I see the point and I knew I would hear that. Is his truck a full size 4 door truck? My truck is a short wheel base but I have only put 1 tranny in it the and up graded it to the beast with a shift kit and springs. I have mad alot of passes and itf it goes out the next day It only cost about 600.00 to put it in again. Maybe this go around I will try a 4l80e and see if it will last as long. But with the horsepower I have it is not much I have a 125 shot and a 6.0lq4 and have got best time 11:64 1/4 maybe I could step up the horse power and get the same time with the 4l80e

well that said it all 24's and a Tahoe I did not look well. LOL.... I see why the 4l80e needs to be in place. I think maybe an Allison out of my diesel would help!

Looks like you were right
