Well this is my first one in 2 years and hopefully after this I will be home for another 18 months.
So my new oil pan doesn't appear to have an oil pressure sensor on the pan....do I have to tap the pan my self? Is this normal? I'm guessing this is a newer truck pan and maybe they don't have oil pressure senors?

You'll probably have the light on at all times if you delete the sensor.
Here's what I'd do if you want to use the new pan. Get out your DVOM and put the old sensor in oil. Measure the resistance across the connector, and get the necessary resistor from Radio Shack or similar store. Modify your harness with the new resistor, seal it up with good heat shrink tubing, and be done with it.
Don't run your new engine low on oil, the light won't come on.

I was just being lazy earlier when I said I'd rather lose it lol. Plus the new pan is so shiney!
Guess I'm swapping pans tonight.
