4.8L 80mm Single Dirty Grandpa Truck Build

Hmm, I had stock values in that table. Maybe that is contributing to my shifting problems from 1st to 2nd gear. I have it set to shift at 4000rpm and it still bounces off the 7000rpm limiter...
OP, are you going to rebuild the trans yourself?

Definilty a power thing. At 5lbs of boost, it shifts on the money wherever I tell it to. Once it is upped to 10+psi, I just can't get it to shift without lifting my foot off the pedal and getting back in it after it shifts to 2nd gear... OP, I'd talk around to some shops about this issue and see if they recommend any special parts to fix it before you starting building yours.

Yes sir.... I used to be a mechanic lol, so I can figure it out. I do have a couple idiots that are current mechanics for buddies. They haven't done 4l80's but, they have done a bunch of FWD autos and such.

I was also reading on hp tuners. I believe my 60 was in lock up between shifts (factory?) Which evidently is not good and I had stock shift times still plugged in.
Anyone have comment on lockup?

Ok. So i'm an automatic/torque converter idiot. I assume you mean no lock during shifts but lock in gear? I would imagine if you didn't want to lock at all, those tripple disk billet converters are not really needed (the tripple disk portion).
I hear a lot of guys saying they don't want a locking converter. I assume this is more for a drag setup?
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
