I meant dont lock it during shifts, or under full power. Crusing around on the highway is fine.

My opinion, guys that lock their converters and see a big performance difference are using the torque converter clutch as a band-aid because the converter they have in there is the wrong one. If your converter has 25% slip at the top of your shift its the wrong one and needs to be tightened up. Good converters have <10% slip. I dont see a reason to ask for stress on a part thats already stressed enough in heavy trucks with decent power.

So as far as HP tuners goes, Looks like I do a few things to make this happen

1) disable shift lock
2) change apply/release speeds for the normal cruise, hot and performance?
3) I assume minimum throttle release settings need to be adjusted.

1.) Yes

2.) In the TCC table, set anything above ~70% throttle to a lock speed of 255mph so it will never happen.

3.) Low throttle regions doesnt really matter since it wont be stressed there. Have it lock however you want when you arent beating on it. In the higher throttle regions it should be set to never lock so it doesnt matter when it is set to unlock.

Anyone download hp tuners 2.25 beta vcm suite? It's supposed to have segment swap in the compare. I guess I don't know what I'm looking for.

Yep. Already did that and have it. Just wondering if anyone has used the segment swap portion of the tool.

Where did you get the schedule tubing at? Having a hard time finding anyone who can bend it or the bends.

any of your performance type re-sellers are going to rape you on price. You need to get bends from a metal supplier, specifically a pipe supplier. You can usually find through HD Supply, ferguson, etcs...

If you want to order online, I would check out Welcome - Ace Stainless Supply. They have bends and straight pipe. They also sell high quality 3" SS v-band sets for $25..... treadstoneperformance.com is ok too. they are kinda weird though. good bend price, but not so good straight pipe price.

You should be paying $4-5 for a long radius Schedule 10 304SS butt weld fitting and roughly $7-8 a ft for straight piping. Treadstone is the only spot that has short radius bends for under $10 if you need those. They are like sch 30 instead of 10 but they work fine.

anything more and you're getting the "you're dumb so we'll mark it up" type of place. lol

I also use rjsales.com. You have to call and talk to someone, so its not instant, but you'll get a good price.
