Wow... you used a BTR blower cam with cathedral heads, huh? They were designed with square ports in mind. They have a lot more split than any other 'cam guy' i know would spec for a cathedral head.

It made great numbers too, but its hard not to with 13# of boost from a whipple! I'd be curious to see how things would shake out with just a tad less exhaust, say 242 as opposed to 248.

Called Brian several times reference my valve train options. He knew/knows my exact combo and recommended the STG3. With that, he also said a set of higher flowing heads would allow it to make more power instead of basically flattening out at just over 600rwhp.

I take his opinion as gospel and bought my entire valve train from him.

TSP LS3 429ci
E-Force TVS 2300
602whp/537tq @3lbs

For some stupid reason I thought I was going to build a motor and leave it alone, why I went with a 4.10 stroke vs a 4” stroke, to get all I could out of a max effort N/A build. Now I am limited to run about 10-12lbs of boost safely. My overall goal is to be at or above 700rwhp. I have cubes, heads , 1 7/8 long-tubes, and a big n/a cam with 39deg of overlap killing boost. I have a new boost friendly cam I just stabbed in there, we’ll see if I can’t gain 2-3lbs back with about 30deg less overlap. After that, I plan to port the blower for better overall efficiency, and to help heat soak. Truck actually runs pretty cool, never seen above 185deg, even in this Houston Texas heat!! I’ll see where the power is at, and go from there. I think the boost cam and porting blower/runners, and snout to my NW 102 should do the trick.. Boost goal is to be around 6-7.5lbs, if cam doesn’t bring it up to 6lbs, I will pulley down one size. Oh and E85
