Default Electric Fans

Ok guys, just broke down for the very first time in 11 years and 105,000 miles in my truck. Had to tow her home. The dual electric fans burnt up...all 3 relays seem to be fine.

What is the best fans to run ??? Mine are staggard (one higher than the other), not side by side

Thx
Pitt

The LS1 fans arent bad but if you wanna do the 34" radiator then like skeet said, the '05+ factory fans are nice.

Thanks guys. My fans both quit at once so I may just have an electrical problem. Weird though, I tried to jump each one straight from the battery and they were both dead.

Damn that sucks man! Im looking to do the electric fan upgrade here soon. I will be putting the 34" radiator and the 05 and up e-fans. Doc at EFI Alchemy may have some leads.

Have you checked the connection between the fan leads and the wire going to the battery? Odd for them BOTH to go out at the same time.

Haven't checked the lead from the battery yet. I just cut the connections as they were black and overheated. Then jumped the fans directly to the battery to see if they were burnt up. Neither would jump and the fan is still free turning. No clue yet. I talked with Doc, he just had his relay burn up on his truck. My relays checked out ok ? Will dive into it this weekend.

Not a bad idea even though these have lasted over 6 years and 45,000 miles. I was dead on the side of the x-way.

Im gonna ask for info incase i missed it.

You had stock truck Efans?

Stock or aftermarket harness/company who made it?

Thats odd to have both fans take a crap.

But ive never had an issue with 05 up truck efans. Ive really like the quality and easy install of the black bear harness i have also.

I had Flex-o-lite dual's. My only guess is one of them was already out and I did't know it. No way they both went at once.

I was trying to find someone in town to put in new brushes but no one works on them. I ended up just buying another set of the same, so every thing was already wired for me. Less that an hour I was back on the road.
