Thumbs up 70mm Z71 Stage II -1/8 mile results

after this

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...esults-518656/

I ran up to the local 1/8 to see what it'll run.

60' = 1.9
1/8 = 8.60 @ 81mph

I'm holding 8 psi brake boosting but it's unloading the suspension and spinning/jumping the tires. The front end feels like the famous lifted truck death wobble lol. Wondering if I should even bother w caltracs or just strap the front down. I need to do more research first.

Once I can get the launch settled down and some 1.8s, I'll be very happy and dip into the 8.50s which might pull off a 12.9.

Made one pass w cutout close at 8psi = 8.8 at 77mph. The made four back to back passes w the cutout open at 10psi and all were 1.9s, 8.6 @ 80 mph

Special thanks for Mike at New Era Performance. Rick from Trick Performance and all u guys on here (specially the guys I txt all day w lol).

Good potential for a 12 sec truck as it sits!

Unloading is generally going to helped more by shocks or controlling the front end. Caltracs are generally for wheel hop.

good results!! I guessing this was in 4wd? this gives me some hope for my truck, i just need some traction.

so I would guess you're around 460rwhp, we have the same mph and you're a lil heavier

cam swap would do wonders

I got a 1.69 by just dropping the front all the way for the track by loosening the torsion bar tension. Bone stock suspension on 275x55x20's. Do the straps before anything else!!! Check out Stock 48.

All you need is to just strap down the front end and your good to go.. you want a 4wd to just leave with no weight transfer or anything. just go.

I ran a 8.38 at 84mph in my crew cab, and that was a 12.8s at 107, just so you know.
