Anyone know the 9 sec 4x4 F150 in GA? He is building his truck into a AWD Turbo 1500+hp beast to run in the Outlaw 10.5 class. Not sure if he already did or not but has to get all the drivers to sign a letter to let him run in there class. Thats what i understand anyways its the Red F150 4x4 with silver flames on the front it was supercharged and sleeper looking, But pulls the front end so high the rear was hittin.

no one will ever have a 9 second buggatti (sp?) !
btw, I've launched and gone right into 2wd from 4wd. only once on the street but about 50 times in the sand. I also have manual t-case if it matters

I got an email back today a week after I sent my question. This is what it said:
Prior to the 2006 season, the rule initially prohibited 4 wheel drive vehicles from running quicker than 12.99. Considering the advancements that can be done to the late model all wheel vehicles and four wheel drive trucks, it was decided to review and change this rule down to 9.99.
The reason the rule is in place is mainly due to the issues associated possible drive train failures with some vehicles in the past along with some vehicles exceeding the height limit at some tracks with oversized off road tires.
Hope this answers your question. If you still have concerns, please feel free to contact us.

So it has always been there but just been one of those
rules. Most likely to cover their *** from lawsuits. I see it to be no big deal unless you are trying to compete in a National event.
